Editorial Standards

Finance content can affect real decisions. Our publishing process is designed around source quality, visible assumptions, review and timely updates.

Primary-source first

For product terms, fees, rates and eligibility rules, we prefer provider disclosures, regulatory materials and other primary sources. Secondary sources can add context but should not replace the controlling terms.

Separate facts from judgments

Rates, fees and product rules are factual claims that require verification. Labels such as “best for” are editorial judgments and should state the criteria behind them.

Review and update

Pages with changeable product terms should show an updated date and be rechecked on a defined schedule. Material corrections should be made promptly and recorded under our corrections policy.

No hidden commercial influence

Commercial relationships may affect how Plandime earns money, but they should not silently determine our methodology, factual conclusions or the existence of negative findings.
